My name is Naeem Jantjies. I’m 31 years old from Kuilsriver, and happily married with four kids

Coming from a life of crime and gangsterism resulted in me serving 8 years for aggravated robbery and attempted murder. In prison, I joined the 27 gang and lived a lawless life, making things difficult for the wardens and other inmates.

It wasn’t until I met my wife that I encountered Jesus Christ. I gave my heart to the Lord, and He changed me dramatically. After a setback and another prison stint, I reached out to Hillsong Africa Foundation Prison Ministries After Care Program where a wonderful group of people helped me align myself with God, and grow into victorious warriors and leaders while walking with me me daily during my transition back into public life.

I’m honoured to be part of the Hillsong Africa Foundation cycle team for the Cape Town Cycle Tour in 2026, cycling with mighty men of the Lord as they raise funds to support the programs that continue to benefit me personally and my family every day.
